    Summary

    The speech and language therapy team provides assessment, support and therapy for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties.  The service generally supports people over the age of 18 years old. The service will see people with a range of conditions that affect communication or swallowing, such as:

    - Stroke

    - Dementia

    - Progressive neurological conditions (such as Parkinson’s Disease)

    - Head and neck cancers

    - Brain injury

    - Voice disorders

    - Stammering

    - Learning disability

    The service will see people in lots of different locations, including in their own home, in hospital, at day centres, in care homes, and also in outpatient clinics.
